FAQs
The main difference between the classic barbell and those in the colour range lies in the coating and design.
Our classic barbells feature a traditional hard chrome finish, which offers good resistance to corrosion and wear, with a basic look and without particular aesthetic customizations.
Color barbells feature a CERAKOTE® coating, which provides superior resistance to corrosion and scratches. They also offer a wide range of unique colors and finishes, allowing you to customize the look of your barbell without sacrificing functionality.
The main difference between Men's and Women's barbells concerns size, weight and technical specifications, designed to adapt to different usage needs:
Length : The men's barbell is generally longer (220 cm), while the women's is shorter (200 cm), making it easier to handle.
Weight : The Men's barbell weighs 20 kg, while the Women's barbell weighs 15 kg, to better meet the needs of training and competition.
Bar Diameter : The Men's barbell has a diameter of 28mm, while the Women's barbell is thinner, with a diameter of approximately 25mm, to ensure a more comfortable and secure grip.
Unlike many other finishes applied to the outside of steel, this barbell is treated with a multi-stage chemical process that improves both its wear resistance and corrosion resistance. The process hardens the outside of the steel, making it extra tough, while also leaving a nice shiny finish. The barbell will be more resistant to corrosion than other finishes and will not wear as easily, as it is not a coating and therefore cannot chip.
Bushings are made of self-lubricating materials, such as bronze or special alloys, and allow for smooth rotation without the use of complex moving parts. They are highly resistant to wear and require little maintenance, making them perfect for heavy-duty use in environments such as commercial gyms.
Bearings use balls or needles inside a metal cage to reduce friction and allow for extremely fast and smooth rotation. They are essential for dynamic exercises such as snatches and cleans and jerks, where the barbell must rotate quickly. They require periodic maintenance and can be more susceptible to wear and tear with heavy, prolonged use.
Knurled markings allow lifters to position themselves correctly for weightlifting and provide a full and even view of the hands on the barbell. There are two main standards, one designed by the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) and one by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).
When your barbell arrives home, it will have a light coating of oil on the shaft and sleeves, which is to protect the barbell during shipping. After a few uses, this coating of oil will begin to dissipate, however, if desired, it can be cleaned using a rag and a disinfectant cleaner that does not contain harsh chemicals (such as bleach, ammonia, alcohol, or peroxide). Finally, apply a protective coating of a spray-on deoxidizer that has excellent water-repellent properties.
We have conducted extensive salt spray testing to ensure industry-leading performance and unmatched rust resistance.
CERAKOTE® is a highly durable ceramic coating, originally developed to protect firearms. It is valued for its ability to provide:
High Corrosion Resistance : Perfect for humid environments or heavy sweating.
Exceptional durability : Resists scratches and wear even with intensive use.
Wide choice of colors : Allows for a customized and modern look, without compromising performance.
Hard chrome , on the other hand, is a traditional metal coating that has been used on barbells for decades. Its characteristics still include good protection and resistance, but it is less effective than CERAKOTE® in particularly aggressive environments.
The knurling style indicates the characteristic pattern that is applied to a particular barbell, and serves to improve the grip during training.
Our barbells offer three types of knurling: hill , volcano and mountain .
The hill is a more passive style, non-abrasive on the hands and ideal for training bars. Perfect for those training with moderate loads or for long sessions, where comfort is a priority.
The mountain is the most aggressive style, designed for powerlifting bars. It offers the most secure grip for tackling maxes or extreme loads, and is ideal for those looking for maximum control during exercises.
The Volcano is the most common style of weightlifting barbell and is ideal for mixed use. It provides excellent grip without being overly abrasive and perfectly balances grip and comfort, making it the most versatile choice.
Our barbells are designed to be compatible with all standard plates with 2 inch (50 mm) diameter center holes.
If the sleeves seem to be scratched, wipe them down with a cloth and they will be as good as new. The coating is so tough that it can actually remove material from the inside of the discs, but the sleeves will not scratch or chip.
This barbell is designed to last for many years with minimal maintenance. Simply apply our deoxidizing spray lubricant every 2-4 weeks with excellent water-repellent properties, useful for removing moisture from the treated surfaces, and providing a long-lasting protective action.
To clean dirt or chalk from the knurling you can also use a brush and finally apply our lubricant.
This barbell is designed for athletes who appreciate refined details and are willing to invest a little more to have a product designed to last for many years, which never goes unnoticed in any gym.
This is a high-end barbell, equipped with premium features, fully compliant with the standards of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF), and further distinguishes itself with the specially designed customization options, which establish a status of excellence for those seeking the ultimate in performance and design.
