Unlike many other finishes applied to the outer surface of steel, this barbell is treated through a multi-stage chemical process that improves both its wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

The process hardens the steel exterior, making it extra strong and leaving a beautiful, shiny finish. The barbell will be more resistant to corrosion than other finishes and won't wear as easily.

Bushings are made of self-lubricating materials, such as bronze or special alloys, and allow smooth rotation without the use of complex moving parts. They are highly wear-resistant and require little maintenance, making them perfect for intensive use in environments like commercial gyms.

Bearings use balls or needles inside a metal cage to reduce friction and allow for extremely fast and smooth rotation. They are essential for dynamic exercises like snatches and turns like clean and jerks, where the barbell must rotate quickly. They require periodic maintenance and can be more susceptible to wear with intensive and prolonged use.

When the barbell arrives at your home, you may notice a light coating of oil on the shaft and sleeves. This protects the steel from moisture and weather during transport.

You can remove it with a microfiber cloth and a gentle, chemical-free cleaner, or simply let it absorb after a few uses.

This barbell is designed to last for many years with relatively minimal maintenance. Simply apply our spray-on deoxidizer every 2-4 weeks. Its excellent water-repellent properties help repel moisture from treated surfaces and provide long-lasting protection.

To clean dirt or chalk from the knurling, you can use a common soft-bristled brush and then apply our lubricant.
